Wedding Dress. Need I say more?
I went in for my fitting today, after the sewing and everything was supposed to be perfect. Needless to say, there have been many tears today and some choice language that could have been left on the boat with the sailors.
The bustling is way uneven
Inner bustle doesn't match the outer bustle (two-layer skirt)
Not to mention she made too many loops (probably in effort to even the shoddy work up)
The sewn-in bra cups are visible through the bodice
There is a weird pluff on my hip where the seamstress just gathered the fabric rather than hemming it at the bottom
The bodice is too tight around the lungs and too loose up top.
Needless to say, I have to go back. But I tried it on with my veil and I still feel pretty, so I guess that is good. But how in the world did I have to pay $359 just for these alterations? I don't get it! Lord, please bring me peace.
And that is why I love this house. It is so peaceful! Katherine is slowly learning Canon in D on the piano downstairs, with Socrates listening peacefully on his couch. Matt is problably in his room computerizing and Jackie is imaginably coming up with some other way to bless the socks off of each of us. She gave us cooking lessons for her famous rolls yesterday. Thanksgiving, here I come!
