So, the in-laws are here, and it is going surprisingly well. It has actually been quite lovely. They arrived last night and we had some munchies, set up camp (in our living room - our tiny living room) and then went for a late-nite walk to see SPU where Ryan works and we both went to school. It was wonderful talking about the lovely houses in the area and seeing all the crazy switches and ports and servers and stuff in Ryan's work nook. We all went to bed about midnight and got up at 10. SO NICE!!
So now there are "Riding The Ducks", going to the top of the Space Needle, and then monorailing down to Nordstrom. We popped by Safeco Field and bought some tickets for tonight from a scalper on the corner (which is apparently now legal?) and are just about to settle in on our couch for a silly movie.
Yes, this is going much better than anticipated. Horray for family.
