1 year ago, Ryan and I became husband and wife.
1 year ago everything changed, and yet nothing has changed.
I struggle to balance the "married-girl-means-lost-friend" with the healthy and biblical perspective choosing to have few time committments during the first year of marriage. I have officially failed at both. To some friends, I fear I have become completely lost. I feel like I have entirely missed the last year of Autumn's life, and that deeply hurts my heart. I miss Charity being a part of my family. And on the other end of the spectrum, I feel like Ryan and I haven't hidden ourselved hard enough from being busy. All we can think of is how happy we are this whole summer is over. In May, we envisioned it as the summer of Ryan and Cari, camping every other weekend off in the woods somewhere, just us- relaxing. Foul words cannot excentuate the imposing opposite-ness that our summer has actually been. Only now do I begin to see the light and yet, I am still overwhelmed.
But enough of that. This is an anniversary post. I shall celebrate our new little Household with a list of our last year's activities:
Marriage (duh)
Amazing honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas
Christi and Dan and Eva moving back home
Me getting a new job

And a wonderful night away at the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland, a movie in bed, room service, breakfast then a couples massage. A nap at home, a beautiful boquet of flowers and an overwhelmingly delicious dinner at Daniel's Broiler.
