Excitement of Life

Things are exciting right now. We are about to Embark on our European Journey - yes the one I have been dreaming about since high school, yes the one we have been saving money for the last two years! And its almost here. Three weeks from now, I'll be enjoying La Tour Eiffel, a gondola ride in Bella Venezia, jaw-dropping at Michaelangelo's sculptures, and walking the ancient streets of Rome. I can hardly believe it is true, and all I can think about is how I want everyone we love to be able to come with us to enjoy it. But at the same time, it will be so nice to share and experience things just with Ryan and myself. I truly am looking forward to this trip. This week, I'll do a trial packing run in my carry-on and make sure everything can fit. My "Italy Trip" spreadsheet has tabs upon tabs with our hotel information, our budget, our packing list, our to-do-before-we-leave list, our shopping list . . . good heavens, who ever knew i was such a list maker?

Regardless, I have never been more excited and peaceful about such an unbelievable journey ahead. Now I just have to make it through these next couple weeks.

Work has been rough lately. There are some intra-office politics that are extremely distracting and discouraging and my boss is doing his best to work through it. We're all going sailing this Friday as a little morale-boosting outing. That should be fun. Until then . . . God's will be done.
