Life lately has consisted of . . .

MANY giggles with my sweet baby girl

Craigslisting for non-baby toys for our BIG girl, such a play kitchen, a walk-on electric piano, a drum set, legos . . .

Chronically compulsive and almost psychotic book-buying (I can't stop myself, seriously. I'm going to buy us into poverty, one 97-cent half.com book at a time!)

LOTS of watermelon. We have been going through one every two or three days. That's insane, but also insanely delicious!

Sewing. I just finished a delicious blanket/quilt for my mom's husband's daughter. I know that makes her my step-sister, but we so rarely see each other, step-sister seems to imply a closer relationship than truly exists.

Much broken-hearted repentance. I've realized not only am I not respecting my husband, but I am trying to lead our home, which is like a double slap in the face and is TOTALLY WRONG AND HORRIBLE! I am just so overwhelmed by what a terrible wife I have been. In the practicals, I've been pretty good, but my heart has been oh so very wrong . . .

Bike rides! Julia is finally enjoying the bike trailer (Thank you Jessie!). We've been riding almost daily to the park and around the neighborhood. I went down a little hill just fast enough to fill my T-shirt with wind and I felt so free and so like a kid. It was amazing.

Laundry. I'm headed over to Sequim to hang with my dad and his wife Tuesday through Thursday, so I'm trying to make sure everything is done before I go so Ryan can survive without us. His drawers are now nicely full of folded white T-shirts.

Cooking and grocery shopping. Because I'll be gone, I've made his next three days lunches and they are waiting in line in the fridge. He has lists of food options for dinner too :o)

Life has been busy. Lots of laughs. Lots of joy. Lots of sorrow and repentance, but unity through all that. And that brings more joy. Thank you Jesus!
