I am so delighted to announce that Ryan and I have found our very first apartment!!
After much stressful search, hours and hours driving around, and quite a few differences of opinion, we found it.
We looked at a very nice 2 bedroom north of greenlake, but the terms were steep and would require $2400 in move-in costs! I felt defeated and wondered if we would ever find a place.
Then, we happened to stumble upon a 10 minute old craigslist posting of a 1 bedroom in QUEEN ANNE!!! Wahoo. We met the landlord at 4:00 and had written a check less than an hour later. Way relaxed move-in terms and a great location, this is just the hole-in-the-wall that we need. It is nothing fancy, nor too huge, but I think it will fit just right for our first couple months. Ryan is so close that he can walk to work, which means we probably won't have to get another car soon either! Yay.
All in all, it has been a banner day. I move in at the beginning of August, and we can pull the trucks up directly to the front door, and with zero steps. Yes, this will hopefully be a seamless transition. Thank you Lord!!!
(I almost forgot the best part . . . WE CAN PAINT!)

Hooray indeed. Paint is the best part! Just don't eat paint chips. I hear they make your hair curly.
