Sicky

So Little Bear has been sick. It started with a bit of a croupy cough, but has developed into a chest thing and fever and ear infection. Poor girl. Constantly coughing, nose gushing, eyes leaking, and fever. Sleeping has been super hard. Last night we just brought her into bed with us because I was too tired (and off-balance from my gargantuan baby belly) to be safely getting up and down every half hour or so from hearing a sad little voice cry out, "Mommy, I hurt. I neeeed you. Mommyyyyyyyyy."

I have to say, it was super sweet to wake up with her this morning. She gently rubbed my arm, smiled through the snot, coughs and teary eyes and told me she loved me. What a sweet little girl.

But alas, the related misery and body aches counteract the sweetness. She is so exhausted and blobby (which translates directly into being whiny). These last few days, we've watched movies, and snuggled. It's pretty much all she wants to do.

Right now I'm on my computer in her room, typing in the dark while she naps/coughs because she keeps saying, "Mommy, don't leave me . . . "

Melt.

Anywho, I'll take the feverish, sluggish, exhausted snuggles while I can. I'm sure the antibiotics will turn her back into a bouncy trouncy pouncy little Julia here pretty quickly :o)
