So here's the current scoop:
I just finished "Totally Desperate Mom" by Wendy Hagen.

It's a fabulously delightful book that addresses the insane hilarity of being a mom. It's the post-birth counterpart to "the Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy," also a hilarious favorite.

Last week, I blasted through "Love and Logic Magic for the Early Years" by Jim Fay and Charles Fay. A MUST READ if you have young ones. Such amazingly transformational ideas for communication, discipline and turning life's events into teaching experiences. WOW!!

I received "When I Don't Desire God" by John Piper a week or so ago. Got rave reviews from a friend and I can't wait to dig in. Its next on my list (ish).

After hearing a fantastic interview on Focus on the Family last week with the authors, Bill and Pam Ferrel, I quickly ordered "Red Hot Monogamy."

Its all about, well, keeping the monogamy red hot :o) The interview was amazing, interesting, entertaining and inspiring. You can (and totally should!) listen to it here:

Currently partway through and looking forward to picking back up: "Money - God or Gift" by Pastor Jamie Munson. I've been realizing that I am pretty screwed up when it comes to money (insecure, tightwad etc . . . ), and this book is really helping me see it in light of the gospel. Very transformational!!!

So there it is. Cari's week (or so) in books. Oh, half.com and amazon.com, how I love thee, let me count the ways...and also the Seattle Public Library system. Yessiree!
