I am not a decorator

I don't do throw pillows, I don't accessorize and heaven forbid I select tassels to complement fringe for the accent layer of draperies.

HOWEVER,

I am a wicked-good at color selection, I love working with contractors. I love building, I love construction. I love getting things done. I love seeing things come to be where there was nothing. I like space planning, lighting, cabinetry . . . pretty much anything that is attached. Its that darn movable stuff that I could care less about.

I cannot even begin to tell you how stressful registering for dishes was when we got married. Perhaps that's how some people feel about selecting paint colors.

Well, for you, my dear paralyzed friend, I feel your pain. I currently have a neutral, gutless, square (the cool starts there), off-white set of dinner plates, and I so know it could be better.

Do you need help with color? I can help. And I love to help. And I am good at it. It is nice to know what you're good at and not feel pressured to blow smoke in compensating for what you're not good at. So gimme a holler, but please, please, don't ask me to help with curtains.

Seriously?! Paul and I have been talking about painting his place since we met... even if it was just the living room/ dining room/ hallway sort of thing. I think part of my lack of passion is just thinking of colors I like... but would they work in the space? Am I going to like them in a year. That stresses me out!
