Why is it that am I worth taking the time to create/purchase a Christmas card, buy a stamp, and get it in the mail to me, but not worth a simple hand-written anything, like "Love, the XXX family" ?!
I am so sad. I'm of course grateful for all the lovely cards sent, but for goodness sake, PICK UP YOUR PEN! Maybe I'm old fashioned. Maybe 99% of the cards I've received with hand-written messages are from old people. But I'm happy to be counted among their number.
Most likely, I love you if you're reading this. And perhaps your life is so crazy that it was a miracle to even get every envelope addressed, but please, please, please, just write your name, if that's all you have time for! But aren't relationships the things worth making time for? If not, then your version of Christmas is CRAZY!
I'm not saying, I'm just saying . . . my heart breaks with every impersonal photo card I receive. But your family is adorable, and my refrigerator is so happy to have you.
End rant.

Oh we should talk. Nothing bothers me more than impersonal cards (except the fact that the Nutcracker has no plot and EVERYBODY love its! ). I'm one to preach though, I don't know if i've ever written christmas cards? Rant appreciated.
