Today has been interesting. These last three weeks of my life have been interesting. My life has been interesting. But today has intrigued me.

It started with yesterday's ending of a delightful phone conversation ending about 1am. You know those times when you know you need to hang up but you have so much more you want to chat about and just wish they could be there so you wouldn't have to deal with a retarded phone that sounds fuzzy because it's been dropped down countless flights of stairs? Yeah, it was one of those.

I got up and went to class a few hours later and missed a call from a very interesting person, Rory. He's in Seattle. He wants to take me out to coffee to catch up. Hmm says I. More class. Decide I can't possibly handle sitting in General Psychology with 150 freshmen for 2 hours and go home to clean my room. Choir for an hour and home . . . to nap. Collect my watch from a friend's house, realize how important selflessness is in a friendship.

And here I am. I have finished my homework for the day. I turned on a movie and gave myself a relaxing manicure in anticipation for tomorrow morning's meeting at Barrett. Mike called me back, he has been in California, so here I go with a new scary job.

I am learning about grace. I refer to my current bruises (heart and otherwise) as coming from a severe beating from the humility stick. Growing up is hard. Consequences stink. I wish I could just always make the right decision. Alas. Eve and her apple . . .
