Well, I made it here all right.
My first flight I spent dead asleep. And I count that a blessing considering the major BO problem the man sitting next to me was apparently unaware of. Unfortunately, we were all made aware of his travelling sickness as he made use of the barf-bag just as we were landing. Hmm. Interesting. My 5 hour layover was enjoyable since I read (and completed) C. S. Lewis' The Great Divorce. I finally made it here after battles with customs officers and becoming less than peniless. I am thankful I had cash on hand, otherwise I might have had an even worse time trying to import a 45 gallon tub filled with Eva stuff.
Speaking of the angel, she is amazing! She only cries when she is getting her diaper or her clothes changed. She is absolutely charming. I think I might end up stealing her and bringing her back to Seattle with me. Then again, maybe I'll just get a pet rock.
Things are well here. I walked the dogs this morning and am sufficiently pink - not my white self. I had better come home tan this time. The hotel is more full than ever and things are running quite smoothly. Dad is busy and driving a big yellow jeep (which actually looks like a 16 year old boy's testosterone compensation). It's fun and I actually thought it was a tractor from behind before I looked closely.
Blessings to the west coast, and I'll be home soon. All my love.
