Today has been lovely. It began with a leisurely breakfast with the parents and some of Dad's insights speaking directly to my heart. Lord, please give me wisdom on how to interpret what he has said. Since my Dad is so amazing, it is very easy to take what he says as the gospel truth, when he actually filters everything he says through his own lense of life.
One of Christi and Dan's friends from their Turkey DTS is here, Esther. She is also from Seattle and we have had a lovely time together. Today we walked the beach and snorkeled, that is until I saw a 6' hairy fish commonly disguised as Dan secretly following us :) I laid on the beach and listened to God. We came back and had lunch together and then I finished my book, Don't Stop The Carnival. It is about the misadventures of running a hotel in the Caribbean. Then I went for a LONG walk on the beach, rehearsed my speech to my boss when I get home and am now waiting to go home to remove the saltwater from my skin.
I got my quarter grades back today. I don't know how it happens, but I think the Lord edits my tests before they get graded. Straight A's, all across the board. How does this keep happening? And I thought I wrecked two of them. Ah well.
Eva Ann is the most perfect baby I have ever seen. She is everything I never thought Christi would have. I "knew" she would have 5 boys, all rowdy. Apparently not. Her little girl is an angel, absolutely perfect. What fun. Just gimme a decade. Then maybe I'll be the one with the 5 rowdy boys.

why is it that i can go a week without seeing you while we're both in the states, but give me three days apart, knowing you're in a different time zone and I can't stand it. I miss you terribly. I'm glad you're swimming and getting all sandy. I think when you get back we should watch major payne, eat milanos and tell stories under a down comforter with a flashlight. Yours always, Bubba.
