A category 4 hurricane is now headed straight at our little vulnerable island with winds of 135mph. We got up and went to the hotel early. I spent my morning playing with power tools. I have taken every piece of art off the walls and every hanging bird in the bar down (about 40). Every chair and table are gone from the restaurant so now our little hotel is very bare. We have five rooms (out of 27) booked for tonight as everyone is trying to get off the island. Apparently American Airlines is giving priority to Americans to fly back to Miami to get away from this hurricane.

I would say fear is beginning to set in, but its not. We have prayed and there is nothing more we can do. The buildings that are rickety will be shredded. Homes close to water level will be flooded. Roofs will fly off and windows will shatter. It is now more a moment of accepting what hurricanes do and planning how to prepare. We are still praying, and God hears us. That's what is important.

Jenny and I are off to the store. We are going to buy as much canned food and drinks as possible. Canned food to feed her guests and the locals who come in afterwards, and drinks for tonight. Apparently with government closed down and a hurricane coming straight towards us, tonight is a night to party.

And so, in anticipation of power lines being down for maybe three days, no running water, no phone connection and most horrible of all, no internet, I ask for prayer. I will write again after the storm. God is good in every situation. Maybe it's time for a little island demolition work :)

Genesis 18:32- Then Abraham said, "May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?"
He answered, "For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it."
33 When the LORD had finished speaking with Abraham, he left, and Abraham returned home

WHAT! A friggin storm? Ok Ok I'm calm... I'm calm... I'm calm. Acutally I'm not. But if you're calm then I'm calm. So I'll definitely be praying, I hope that it may pass you by or slows down a bit. That is pretty intense. But I think that the right idea is to party party party ;)

As in reference to my sight. There was a boy last summer, he tried to kiss me, I freaked! He apologized (on his website of all places) I was upset... communication lapsed for about eight months. Any ways... a few months later, he starts dating some girl, and now about eight months later they're engaged. Crazy world eh!

Ok well I've got to get rolling... I'm going to sign my lease :)
Blessings and Prayers are being sent in abundance your way!
Love you
