A beautiful last day.
Woke up early to get the house ready for a luncheon. Jenny and Jane in the kitchen cooking Beef Guinness Pie (yes, we're talking yum) and me making like Cinderella, singing and everything. An hour before party time, I headed down to our dock to drink a gallon or two of sunshine. Shower, pigtails, killer earrings and a cute skirt later, our party begins. Hours on the deck in the sun drinking fruit punches and sparkling ciders and diet coke with lime, let's just say the sun leaned down to give me a kiss. Just a little touch, but enough to see I am loved.
Over Christi came on the motorcycle to pick me up and we ventured around the island, watching the sun go down over the palm trees, walking on the beach through 65 degree water, riding under the incoming plane, past the airport, noisily singing the Top Gun theme. And don't worry Mom, we wear helmets.
And here we are at the hotel, getting ready for another night of BBQ, listening to Mitch on the guitar pluck the strings of relaxation all night long. There might even be a little sing or two.
Once again, God is good. I wish I could clear my head. I haven't been running in a week. Here I come Seattle!
