Sunday, January 30. My world was, once again, rocked.
Unlimited played at Ballard Church. For the first time since Westgate, the worhsip felt like home. Their worship teams and Unlimited got together and prayed before the service and the pastor encouraged us to feel like we were at home and to just relax and jam, to be free with the gifts the Lord has given us.
For some reason, our songs hit me like never before. I felt like a tidal wave of Christ's love hit me and pretty much bowled me over. As Julie and I sang "His Eye is on the Sparrow," I just couldn't help knowing in my soul that no matter where I go, no matter what happens, God is taking care of me. During the song, I just felt like I needed to let loose with my voice and as I skipped up and around notes Julie and I had not practiced, she followed perefctly for some of the most beautiful harmonies we have ever made.
It was amazing, not because of who we are, but because of who God is in us.
For the first time in my entire life, I felt the peaceful delight of truly singing to the Lord, not to an audience, but truly to bless the heart of God.
And here I am, speechless, just like yesterday.
